Karo-Koeli
Karo-Koeli is a retelling of a traditional Santhali folktale that explains the origin of two rivers in Jharkhand, India. The story follows siblings Karo and Koeli, who live with their uncle and aunt. On the festival day of Gomoha, their aunt, harboring ill feelings toward them, sends the children to work in the fields while their uncle is away. Witnessing this, the Sun God Chando Bongo intervenes, leading to events that result in the creation of the Karo and Koeli rivers.
