The First House

First House is a children’s book that narrates the story of two brothers, Kindru-Lalim and Kincha Lali-Dam, who, tired of living in dark caves, decide to build the first house in a forest. Set in the northeastern part of India, now known as Arunachal Pradesh, this tale is a retelling of a traditional folktale that explains how the first house came to be.
