The Silver Star

In 1970s California twelve-year-old Bean Holladay and her fifteen-year-old sister Liz are left by their artistic mother and must journey to Virginia to live with a distant uncle. There they confront poverty, secrets, and a new life while trying to hold onto each other and their sense of hope.
