Tom Sawyer

This was the novel that made Mark Twain's reputation and secured his place as a children's author. Based on scenes from the author's boyhood, it introduces the mischievious Tom and his orphaned friend Huck Finn. The boys have a series of adventures that include witnessing a murder, hiding on an island and witnessing their own funerals, and saving an accused man's life in court.
